THE NOBLE PLANETARIUM MAKES A
STELLAR RETURN NOVEMBER 20!

It's back and more spectacular than ever! The Planetarium's live, interactive program distinguishes the Noble from all others. Thanks to two new, all-digital star balls within a 40-foot dome cover, you can visit the Milky Way galaxy and travel up to 13.7 billion light years away - and ask questions of Planetarium staff along the way. In addition to viewing the constellations and stars visible in the sky, you'll also learn about current astronomical events of the day. Two shows will be offered on an alternating basis:

Texas Sky Tonight.....LIVE!
The sky will no longer be a mystery when you exit Texas Sky Tonight.....LIVE!  Join our Noble Planetarium staff as they fly you through the wonders of the stars, constellations, planets and exciting objects that are in the real sky on the day of your visit.

Black Holes:  The Other Side of Infinity
There's a place from which nothing escapes, not even light, where time and space literally come to end. It's at this point, inside this fantastic riddle, that black holes exert their sway over the cosmos ... and our imaginations. Can you feel the pull?"

Be sure to make a Planetarium show a part of your visit to the Museum of Science and History! Tickets are $5 each. Museum members get in free!

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE!
Construction is almost complete as we draw near to our November 20 opening date. Landscaping is currently being completed outside the building. Inside only the "punch lists" remain on the construction side. Many exhibits, such as the Tinkering exhibit, CSI: The Experience, and Fort Worth Children's Museum, are complete. Others are close to final installation. All donor bricks have been placed in the Heritage Courtyard and the courtyard's magnificent fountain is operational. Shop Too! is being stocked and final equipment installed in the Stars Café. Work continues at a feverish pace! View a slideshow of recent construction photos on YouTube and watch final exterior construction on our live webcam. Then see the final result for yourself on November 20!

Returning Exclusively
to the
Omni Theater

All Aboard! The Polar Express: The IMAX Experience returns to the Omni Theater on Friday, November 20. The Omni Theater will offer the only domed IMAX presentation in the Southwest!

The Polar Express
Based on the classic Caldecott medal-winning children's book written by Chris Van Allsburg, it tells the story of a doubting young boy who takes an extraordinary train ride to the North Pole and embarks on a journey of self-discovery that shows him that the wonder of life never fades for those who believe. You'll become totally immersed in the IMAX presentation... watching snowflakes float down the giant IMAX screen and feeling the train rumble via state-of-the-art digital surround sound. Tickets are $9 for adults, $8 for children (3-12) and seniors (60+). Museum members receive a $2 discount. Advance tickets are available online, by phone at 817-255-9540 and in person. (There is a small transaction fee for online and phone orders. Members do not pay a fee for phone orders.)
ALSO OPENING IN THE
OMNI THEATER
:
ANIMALOPOLIS

The whimsical film is done in rhyme and verse with a humorous tone while concentrating on real-world animal activities. Tickets for Animalopolis are $7 for adults and $6 for children (3-12) and seniors (60+). Members receive a $2 discount. Tickets go on sale next week.
