KEEP COOL WITH DYNAMO

Wednesday, July 10

Dynamo's BirthdayJoin us Wednesday, July 10, and help us say “Happy Birthday” to the Museum’s favorite longneck dinosaur with some cool liquid nitrogen ice cream and appearances by Dynamo himself and his other mascot friends.  Ice cream and other tasty treats will be frozen and ready to serve at 11:15am and noon.

How can you keep your cool this summer? The Museum has the solution for chilling out when the temperature heats up.  Join us July 10-13 for Cool Science and enjoy a variety of activities throughout the Museum, all designed to help you discover some cool science concepts while beating the heat including Extreme Cold Demonstrations using liquid nitrogen and dry ice, playing with “snow” each afternoon made with Sodium Polyacrylate, Afternoon Melt Down - a daily hands-on workshop where guests can find ways to save popsicles from the heat and determine which colors keep us cool and creating wintry sculptures.

Additional activities during Cool Science include Conversations with the Experts – Radio Elvis: Listen to the King on Saturday, July 13 from 3-4:30pm in the Museum’s Oak Room.  DJ and TV host, George ‘GK’ Klein remembers what it was like growing up with the King in Memphis and continuing his legacy with the George Klein Original Elvis Hour on SiriusXM.

Guests can also enjoy the monthly Star Party where astronomy buffs help to navigate through the night skies outside of the Museum Saturday, July 13 beginning at sunset.

All activities are included with paid Exhibit admission.
