The Museum is considering an IMAX film for the Omni Theater, and we want your opinion! You are invited to attend a survey screening for D-Day: Normandy 1944. The screening is free; your only obligation is to complete a short survey at the conclusion of the film. Seating is available on a first-come, first served basis. ADVANCED RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Guests must be at least 10 years of age.

Film Summary:
D-Day is the largest allied operation in World War II history. Yet, only a few know in detail exactly why and how, from the end of 1943 through August 1944, Normandy (France) became the most important location in the world. Seamlessly blending multiple cinematographic techniques, including animation, CGI and stunning live-action images, “D-Day: Normandy 1944” provides an extraordinary giant screen experience. Audiences of all ages, including new generations, will learn the importance of this momentous event from a new perspective. Exploring the history, new technologies, human values and tactical strategy, the film will educate and appeal to all. Narrated by Tom Brokaw, “D-Day: Normandy 1944” is dedicated to the millions of men and women, soldiers and civilians, who gave their lives in this battle for freedom.

PARKING INFORMATION

The Museum Members park for free in the Museum Lot.  The Museum Lot is located just south of the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History and to the west of the National Cowgirl Museum and Hall of Fame.  Best access is via Harley Avenue.  Please have your valid Membership card with you to receive this benefit*.  Thank you again for your continued support!

*Please note that the FREE parking is on a first come, first served basis and does not apply to other lots in the Will Rogers/Cultural District.  Membership does not guarantee an available, free parking space.  Parking is limited.

Please note that the parking lots surrounding the theater are paid lots managed by the city. We are unable to validate parking.


Fun Fact
The Museum's Noble Planetarium was the first planetarium to be named after a female astronomer, Charlie Mary Noble, a Fort Worth educator of math and astronomy.
