Human Resources Assistant

Full Time Hourly


To assist employees, volunteers and applicants. Ensure accurate and timely processing and handling of employment records. This position will help HR as an office assistant/ receptionist. This includes answering phones, faxing, filing papers, copying, mail outs and distribution, scanning, packet assembly, communications and bulletin boards such as posters and flyers. 

BASIC FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to):

  • Assist the Human Resources Team in day to day duties

  • Maintain confidentiality especially in the workplace

  • Work closely with all departments especially regarding recruiting

  • Track all applications/resumes

  • Update training materials that support Show Quality Orientation and other training throughout the year.

  • Be able to answer phones, copy, file, fax and other office duties as needed

  • Ensure orderly maintenance of all employee files, records and reports.

  • Assist with processing new hires and establish the on boarding system

  • Prepare and maintain employee files, assuring accuracy, compliance and confidentially. I.e., unemployment claims verifications, I9 status and State regulations.

  • Assist in handling and coordinating all employee incentive programs.

  • Prepare and maintain bi-weekly employee listings, new hire

  • Prepare and setup meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs.

  • Respond to requests for employment verifications.


  • High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

  • Effective communication skills, oral & written.

  • Experience in Word, Excel, ADP, SAGE or other Payroll and other applicable database programs helpful.

  • Knowledge of Company policies/procedures & benefit package or the ability & willingness to learn.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Ability to speak Spanish helpful, but not necessary.

  • Effectively communicate with people in potentially sensitive situations.

  • Ability to meet deadlines.
