Studio Team Member
Part-Time Employment
Under the supervision of the Innovation Gallery Operations Manager, main responsibilities include enhancement and facilitation of the Innovation Gallery and Studio guest experience and associated studio programs.
Basic Function and Responsibilities including but not limited to:
Working knowledge of public’s expectation of museum experience; gallery, experience and activity content
Proven ability to interact with public and resolve basis guest questions and needs
Supporting full time staff in opening and closing procedures, emergency procedures, managing supplies and maintaining guest feedback logs
Understand and implement highest level of safety and SQS and presentations in studios and galleries
Participate in team meetings.
Deliver highest quality of guest experience and team communications
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in the sciences, history or related field strongly preferred.
Teaching experience in informal educational setting.
Ability to simultaneously engage children and adults in an energetic, friendly, professional manner.
Ability to react positively to a rapidly changing environment.
Must be comfortable and competent working with and teaching diverse, integrated audiences as well as non-English speakers and people with disabilities.
Ability to learn new technology, software, Audio Visual equipment set ups, etc
Theatrical or other performance experiences a plus.
Fluency in Spanish a plus
Proven ability to respond and make good decisions under pressure.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time; as well as frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, squatting, and lifting. The successful candidate must also possess the ability to lift, up to 20 pounds.
Ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
