Full-Time Employment
Human Resources Manager
- Primary contact for employees and managers to answer inquiries and provide general employee information including: compensation, benefits, attendance, performance reviews and terminations. Ensures consistent application and interpretation of company policies, procedures and programs established by the Museum.
- Reviews the Employee Handbook annually making recommendations for updates and changes to the handbook.
- Establishes and maintains a comprehensive compensation plan to meet continued growth of staffing for the Museum with updated job descriptions for all staff positions supporting this plan.
- Manages and participates in the recruiting efforts of hiring high performance staff.
- Manages new employee orientation program.
- Supervises the administration of all employee benefit programs and coordinates annual Open Enrollment meetings with all benefit providers.
- Maintains all personnel records including employee and benefit files in accordance with federal and state regulations. Monitors compliance with government regulations regarding equal opportunity, affirmative action, and FMLA.
- Seeks out training sessions to help staff advance in their career development.
- Manages employee recognition program and seeks out new and exciting ways to acknowledge employees.
- Establishes and manages Volunteer program.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA Human Resources and at least 5 years related experience.
- HR Certification or additional training a plus, proficiency in HR laws and ethics.
- Strong organizational, problem solving and interpersonal skills and ability to discuss issues and problems with resolution. Proven decision maker.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge / experience of EEO guidelines and procedures.
