Fort Worth Champions! - O.D. Bounds – Texas Wesleyan University Men’s Golf

O.D. Bounds – Texas Wesleyan University Men’s Golf

1919-2004

The name O.D. Bounds personifies the Texas Wesleyan University’s men’s golf team.  After graduating from TWU in 1941, Bounds joined the Coast Guard.  He returned to TWU in 1946 and began a forty year career of teaching and coaching.

Bounds’ first taste of golf came as a student at TWU when his tennis match was rained out.  As a result, Bounds traveled south to Waxahachie with the Ram’s golf team as a caddy.
